Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily Rose Depp and Ho-Yeon Jung will star in a new movie together.
Following the success of Netflix’s Squid Game last year, actress and model HoYeon Jung has become a real superstar.
She also recently starred in The Weeknd’s “Out of Time” music video, and now she is joining the new project The Governesses, in which HoYeon Jung will star alongside Lily-Rose Depp.
“In a large country house shut off from the world by a gated garden, three young governesses responsible for the education of a group of little boys are preparing a party. The governesses, however, seem to spend more time running around in a state of frenzied desire than attending to the children’s education,” reads the book’s plot, and the movie will feature screenplay by Joe Talbot, who previously worked with A24 on The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

The Governesses was developed with the support of BBC Film, and Talbot adapted the screenplay with the help of novelist Olivia Gatwood. Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe will produce for Element Pictures, with Rob Richert of Talbot’s Longshot Features and Angus Lamont.
There’s yet no release date, but the shootings are about to start in Spain within the upcoming months.
It is incredible to think Ho-Yeon never acted before Squid Game, because she demonstrated an incredible talent. She also managed to snag a SAG Award for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series”.
And what about Lily? Lily Rose Depp is a two-time César Award nominee. She will next star alongside The Weeknd and more in the HBO series The Idol, from A24 Television. The actress has previously appeared in films including Silent Night, Voyagers, Crisis, The King, Savage, A Faithful Man, Planetarium, The Dancer, Yoga Hosers and Tusk.
