See Natalie Portman as Female Thor in First ‘Love and Thunder’ Trailer

The very first look at the highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder.

Marvel is releasing the very first look at the highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder.

The first trailer reveals the return of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, the hammer-wielding hero.

A bevy of familiar faces are present throughout the retro-feeling 90-second preview, set to a soundtrack of Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

In the trailer we can also see Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor, masked up and Mjolnir in hand as Thor looks on in awe.

Thor: Love and Thunder comes after three previous Thor films: 2011’s Thor, 213’s Thor: The Dark World and the most recent, 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok

Natalie Portman stuns as female Thor in new movie trailer

Jane Foster, the Thunder God’s great love, will seemingly take over from her sweetheart in this movie, in a story in which Thor will put war aside to fight the most important of his battles: his own demons. Natalie Portman appears as the new wielder of the Mjölnir, as we can see in the last seconds of the teaser.

We can notice from the trailer that Portman looks very different from usual. The catress seems to have taken the role very seriously for this picture and toned up her body, and arms, as can be seen in the final part of the trailer.

After wrapping production on the fourth Thor film in June 2021, Hemsworth teased the movie on Instagram, where he wrote, “The film is gonna be bat—- crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder!”

Thor: Love and Thunder premieres in theaters July 8.
