The singer, 37, dressed to impress in a black floral bralette and matching mini skirt as she shot scenes on a stylish speedboat for the Italian luxury fashion house.
Katy, who has recently been in Australia, looked in her element in front of the camera as she soaked up the sunshine.
The beauty teamed her classy with a pair of retro style sunglasses, while her raven locks were swept into a beehive style.
At one point, Katy clutched onto a hot beverage as she was given a helping hand while stepping back onto dry land.
The advert is being shot by Italian film director Paolo Sorrentino.
Katy clutched a large umbrella as she shielded herself from the scorching sun in between takes.
The star was all smiles as she appeared to wave to fans nearby who spotted her on the boat.
It’s been a busy time for Katy as she and partner Orlando Bloom recently made an unexpected visit to a wildlife sanctuary in Port Douglas, Queensland.
