Sandra Bullock has been busy back in April promoting her last movie, The Lost City, and she just seriously brought her style A-game while in New York.
Sandra made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, working a flowy pantsuit layered over a crop top that showed off her tight abs. The 57-year-old actress has been out of the spotlight a bit lately—but it’s clear she’s been working hard at the gym.
But what does Sandra do to make 57 look like 27? For starters, she makes working out a priority.
Her Bird Box co-star Trevante Rhodes previously told ET that Sandra would show up to set in her exercise clothes every day. “So, she works out every day,” he said. Sandra said as much to InStyle, noting that she’s big on Pilates, kickboxing, and weight training.
“When I’m in Austin, I run or ride a bike,” she said. “If I can work out every day, I will.” Sandra also loves to do celebrity trainer Simone De La Rue’s Body By Simone dance-cardio training, too. “She puts in an hour a day, six times a week,” De La Rue told Radar. “She is extremely motivated and driven.”
She’s so driven, in fact, that when she was filming Gravity in 2013, she would work out with De La Rue in between takes. “We had long periods between shots for set-up and lighting, so Sandra would always pop back to her trailer and do dance workouts for an hour or so, a few times a day,” stunt coordinator Franklin Henson says.
Sandra eats healthy, but she makes a point to set aside quality time to just have whatever she wants. “I start Friday night and I end Saturday night,” she told InStyle. “But it is not so regimented. I’ll make lists of what I want to eat this week or next week. I was in the store Marfa and they had this dark chocolate with bacon in it so I’ve gotta try that!”
