Jennifer Lawrence has been largely living life on the DL since welcoming her son Cy in February, but she’s now promoting her latest movie Causeway—and she’s certainly showing up and showing out for her red carpet appearances.
J.Law turned up at the Toronto International Film Festival in a gorgeous, sheer, flowy, Grecian-inspired dress that showed off her miles and miles of toned legs. The 32-year-old’s hair was styled in loose waves and she was looking all kinds of strong and happy.
Jennifer has been spotted cruising around NYC in crop tops this summer, and she’s known to be a total warrior at the gym. Her trainer, Dalton Wong, previously told Byrdie that he’ll work Jennifer hard at the gym but not, ya know, crush her spirit. ‘I don’t like to ruin my clients,’ he said. ‘I want you to leave here and still have the energy to be able to get on with your day.’
J.Law likes to keep details about her life pretty private, which is fair, considering all the attention she gets. But her dance coach, Kurt Froman, opened up to Australia’s Body and Soul about their workout routines as she prepped for her role as a former ballerina-turned-spy in Red Sparrow a few years ago. Froman says the two worked together for three months, fitting in sessions six days a week, for three hours at a time (!).
They also did ‘cross training in the form of Pilates, or toning and weight-training, or gyrotonics,’ Froman said.
While prepping for her Red Sparrow role, but she told Vanity Fair that she wasn’t totally on-board with her eating plan. In fact, she shared that she had ‘meltdown’ over her diet of lean meats and veggies. ‘I can’t work on a diet,’ she said.
Instead, she said she ended up having sausage nearly every day during filming. ‘I discovered this Viennese kielbasa sausage in an uncircumcised French-bread roll, with pickle relish,’ she shared. ‘I had that almost every day in Budapest—which you can see, because I continue to grow in the movie.’
J.Law told Vogue that she’s just not here for restrictive eating, and instead focuses on strong workouts.
These days, however, Jennifer is way more focused on her new title: Mum. And while she has shared almost nothing about her new son, Cy, there’s no doubt motherhood is keeping her busy.
