Chris Rock on Johnny Depp Defamation Trial: ‘Believe All Women, Except Amber Heard’

Chris Rock did not mince words when he roasted Amber Heard during a recent comedy performance in London.

Chris Rock explicitly took Johnny Depp ‘s side during a recent comedy performance in London.

LADbible reported the comedian brought up Heard in a segment from his May 12 set, which kicked off his Ego Death tour in the United Kingdom. “Believe all women, believe all women… except Amber Heard… What the fuck is she on? She shit in [Johnny Depp’s] bed! She’s fine but she’s not shitting fine,” Rock joked to the crowd in attendance. “She shit in his bed. Once you shit in someone’s bed you [are] just guilty of everything. She shit in his bed. What the fuck is going on there? Wow. And they had a relationship after that. It must be amazing pussy… I’ve been with some crazy bitches but goddammit.”

Heard is currently in the midst of a lengthy trial with her ex-husband Depp after the Pirates of the Caribbean actor filed a $50 million lawsuit against her for defamation. Depp claimed Heard’s December 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post, which recounted her experiences with domestic abuse, has destroyed his film career. Depp also stated that Heard was the actual abuser in their relationship, though Heard has denied the accusations and counter-sued Depp for $100 million in defamation. The trial began in April and is scheduled to conclude on May 27.

Rock is no stranger to controversial celebrity showdowns. The comedian was slapped by Will Smith at the 94th Academy Awards on March 27 after the King Richard actor responded negatively to a G.I. Jane 2 joke Rock told at the ceremony. The joke was directed at Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s short hair, a result of Pinkett Smith’s alopecia, which causes hair loss. After slapping Rock, Smith returned to his seat and yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.” Smith later won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in King Richard. The incident led to Smith being banned from attending the Oscars or any of its other events for the next 10 years by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
